SOIL TYPE: "TRANSITION"

Partially gypsic soils ("Transition") - This site was located in an area with gypsum intergrading with silty, silica-based material. It is covered by a patchy (1-20 m diameter) mosaic of dense perennial grasses with interspersed shrubs. The site has had very limited anthropogenic disturbance.
