Project: Global Change Experiment: Responses of Prosopis glandulosa and Bouteloua eriopoda to precipitation change
Photosynthetic Rates for Leaves from Treatments of Enhanced and Reduced Precipitation on the Jornada Basin, 2007-2008
Pre-dawn Water Potential for leaves from Reduced and Enhanced Precipitation Treatments on the Jornada Basin, 2007-2008
The project explores the influence of precipitation change on black grama and mesquite ecophysiology. Precipitation is manipulated relative to ambient precipitation with Sala et al's rainout shelters and sprinklers in Pasture 13. Ecophysiological measurements (pre-dawn water potential and photosynthesis) are measured throughout the growing season.
